About

About Human Time Project.

Who it's for, how we work, and the rules we keep.

What this is

Human Time Project is an independent watch journal, run from Phoenix, Arizona. It's for people who love watches at every level: the collector saving for a grail, the horologist who wants the details right, and the person who just got their first automatic and can't stop looking at the caseback.

Our rules

  1. Facts come with sources. Specs come from makers, history from documented records, and we link them.
  2. We say how we know. If we haven't had a watch on the wrist, we won't pretend we have.
  3. No fakes. No replicas, counterfeits or homages that copy another brand's design, in our writing or our links.
  4. No prices. They change too fast. Check the seller.
  5. Real stories only. Reader stories are true, shared with permission, and never invented.

How we may earn money

In future, some links may be affiliate links, which pay us a small commission if you buy. None are active today. When they are, we'll say so on the page, and the affiliate disclosure explains how it works. Commissions will never decide what we cover.

The letter

We're planning a slow newsletter: one guide, one grail, one affordable pick. It isn't sending yet, and nothing is collected on this site.
